Established in 1830, George Carter (Pressings) Ltd is still owned and managed by the Carter family, now the 5th generation. This long and successful history, combined with a progressive and forward thinking attitude to present and future industrial needs makes the company one of the most technically advanced pressworking companies in the world with press capacity up to 2,000 Tonnes. This, combined with an enviable list of associated services offered “in-house”, has given the company a competitive edge in the cost and control of producing complete components and assemblies. This philosophy extends right through the production process to include powder coating where the company has 4 powder coating lines enjoying a reputation for high quality coating which attracts contract work from other companies nationwide. The goods are then shipped utilising the company’s own fleet of vehicles.
